Mr. Josiah "Sy" Fontenot

Mr. Fontenot joins CAFM with a strong academic background in mathematics and a passion for teaching. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences at UWF. Mr. Fontenot has served as both a graduate teaching assistant and a private math tutor, with experience leading undergraduate mathematics courses, and providing one-on-one support in subjects ranging from algebra to advanced problem-solving. His teaching is shaped by his love for clear thinking, logical structure, and helping students gain confidence in their abilities. In addition to his academic achievements, Mr. Fontenot played for the University of West Florida’s soccer team, balancing the discipline of athletics with the rigor of mathematics. He brings that same energy, teamwork, and focus into the classroom. Mr. Fontenot looks forward to helping students grow, not only in mathematical skill, but also in perseverance and intellectual curiosity.

Additional Reporting Requirements Statewide Reporting: Any individual can report child abuse, abandonment, or neglect by contacting the Florida Abuse Hotline: 1-800-96-ABUSE (1-800-962-2873). Emergency Reporting: If you witness an immediate threat to a student’s health or safety, call 9-1-1. This notice is posted in compliance with Florida law to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in our care. Thank you for your attention to these important procedures.
