Mr. Jacob Reilly

Born in Kansas City, Jacob Reilly spent his childhood in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. He first became enamored with the Classics in middle school when a teacher invited him to a Homer and Dante book club. This love continued into high school where he first studied Latin at Gregory the Great Academy, a Catholic, liberal arts boarding school. He double majored in Classics and English Literature at the University of Dallas and received his Masters in English Literature at Southern Methodist University. Mr. Reilly began teaching while still in his undergraduate studies and spent over a decade teaching Latin, Greek, and English at a Classical charter school in Texas. After a brief hiatus from teaching and moving to Pensacola with his wife and five children, he is excited to be teaching Latin again at Chesterton Academy. When not in the classroom, you can find him cycling along the Gulf Coast or doing woodworking in his shop.
